Why Do I Get Lower FPS in Valorant with a Better PC Than My Girlfriend?

I recently built a new PC, and a few days later, my girlfriend got hers. While playing Valorant together, I noticed she's getting an impressive 480-700 FPS, even hitting 700 in less demanding areas. In contrast, my setup only reaches around 340-520 FPS in the exact same situations. Here are our specs for comparison:

**My Specs:**
- Intel i5 14600kf
- RTX 5060ti 16GB
- DDR5 6000MHz CL30 (XMP enabled)
- Windows 10

**Her Specs:**
- Ryzen 7 5800X
- RTX 3060 OC 12GB
- DDR4 3200MHz CL16 (XMP enabled)
- Windows 11

It's not jealousy, just a bit disappointing that my more expensive setup isn't performing as well. Is this normal, or is there something I should be checking?

At those FPS levels, the CPU performance has a significant impact. Make sure to check how high your CPU is boosting. She might have Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO) enabled, allowing her CPU to hit higher frequencies, which could give her the edge.

Have you checked your resolution settings? If her monitor runs at a lower resolution than yours, that could explain the difference in FPS. It’s worth double-checking!

Nope, I’ve double-checked all settings, and we’re both playing at the same resolution.
