Why do I have to reinstall Windows every time I power off my PC?

I recently had a power issue where the fuse in my room broke while I was gaming on my Alienware Aurora R15. After that, I noticed that I couldn't open specific apps like Xbox, Microsoft Store, WhatsApp, and Settings. Plus, the search bar wasn't working either. The only way I've found to fix this is by reinstalling Windows, but the same problem occurs again whenever the power is interrupted or if I forcefully shut down the PC. I really want to figure out why this keeps happening!

Have you tried reflashing the BIOS? I used to have a similar issue on my Acer Nitro, and that fixed it for me. It might be worth the shot!

I’ll try it and give an update, thanks for the quick reply!

That seems completely unrelated.

It sounds like a real hassle! You might want to get a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) next time. It'll prevent these sudden power cuts from messing up your system. Just a thought!

Also, you could run `sfc /scannow` in Command Prompt. That command checks for corruption in Windows files, and you shouldn't need to reinstall Windows unless it's really necessary.

Make sure you're shutting down your PC properly using the Shutdown option from the Start menu instead of just cutting the power. It could help with these kinds of issues!

I usually do, but I play modded games, and sometimes they freeze, forcing me to shut down.
