I've built a computer that's already gone through two motherboards in just two years. Six months after I built it, the system wouldn't start properly—it would turn on, then shut off, and keep looping like that. I tried replacing the power supply and RAM, but nothing worked. A repair shop diagnosed it as a motherboard issue, so I replaced it. That new one lasted a year and a half before I ran into the same problem. Is it typical for motherboards to fail this often? Could other parts contribute to this issue?

What's the full spec of your build? It sounds like there might be something weird going on. In 40 years, I've only had two motherboard failures myself!
It really depends on the motherboard quality. The cheaper ones are usually cheap for a reason and might not last as long.
You might want to consider switching to a different motherboard. Have you experienced any power outages lately? Also, ensure your computer is at least connected to a surge protector to prevent any electrical mishaps.
Is everything else in your setup working fine? What exact motherboard and CPU are you currently using? Have you accidentally spilled anything or maybe dropped the computer? Those can lead to some serious problems too.
