Hey everyone! I'm having a really frustrating issue with my computer. I have no tech knowledge at all, and I inherited this machine from my brother. Every time I try to play a game, it either crashes or completely reboots after about 10 minutes. At first, I thought Discord might be the problem, but it's still happening even when I'm not using it. Does anyone have any tips or ideas on what might be causing this? Here are my specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor
- RAM: 16.0 GB
- Storage: 3 HDDs (1.8 TB, 931.5 GB, and another one)
- CUDA Cores: 2304
- Graphics Clock: 1470 MHz
- Memory Data Rate: 14.00 Gbps
- Memory Interface: 96-bit
- Memory Bandwidth: 168.024 GB/s
- Total Available Graphics Memory: 14,312 MB
- Dedicated Video Memory: 6144 MB GDDR6
- Shared System Memory: 8168 MB
- System Type: 64-bit OS, x64-based processor
Thanks in advance for any help!

What about that extra drive? If it’s not an SSD and isn’t the drive where Windows is installed, it might be a bottleneck. You should check your C drive capacity too; it could give us clues about your storage performance.
You should definitely keep an eye on your CPU temperature while gaming. If it reaches around 100°C, it can cause your PC to reboot as a self-protective measure. Try using HWMonitor to track the temps under load.
It could be a mix of things: drivers, RAM limits, temperature, or power issues. Make sure to check what games run longer before crashing. Also, confirm your drives aren’t too full, and look into any background processes that could interfere.
One of the biggest factors could be your power supply. If it’s not sufficient for your components, it might cause crashes. Also, don’t forget to check your cooling; overheating can lead to issues as well.
