Why Do My Games Look Bad Despite Good FPS?

I recently built a gaming rig and spent quite a bit on it, but I'm not getting the performance I expected. While my FPS is solid, the image quality just doesn't look good at all. Even when I set the graphics to high or ultra, the visuals remind me of a game still in development, like something from Roblox. I've made sure all my drivers are up to date, I'm using a DisplayPort cable connected directly to the graphics card, and my temperatures are in the normal range.

Here's the rundown of my setup:

- MSI 5060 8GB GPU
- Ryzen 5 7600x CPU
- ASRock B650M Pro RS Motherboard
- 2TB SSD
- 32GB DDR5 RAM

I haven't changed any settings in the Nvidia control panel, even hitting revert multiple times to be safe.

Is this happening with all games or just a select few? If you're only experiencing issues with certain titles, they might be harder on your setup than they should be.

You might want to turn off dynamic resolution in your game settings. Also, consider disabling DLSS if it's on, depending on your monitor and resolution. It can sometimes affect image clarity negatively.

Good FPS usually indicates that performance isn't the main problem here. It sounds like it could be related to your graphics settings. Given that you're using an 8GB VRAM GPU like the 5060, it might restrict the graphics quality in certain games.
