Why Do My Keyboards Keep Failing One Key at a Time?

Hey everyone! I've been dealing with a really frustrating issue lately. Over the past week, all my keyboards have been slowly dying, one key at a time. It started with certain keys sticking together, like 'A' and Shift, and before I knew it, more keys stopped working, leaving me with completely unusable keyboards. I've already replaced three different keyboards in just a few hours, and they all seem to experience the same problems. I've cleaned them thoroughly, uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, checked all the ports on my computer, and even scanned for viruses. But nothing works! I've tried plugging the keyboards into another computer, and they still don't function, so there must be some underlying issue causing this. Any ideas on what's going on?

What kind of keyboards are you using? I've had bad luck with certain brands too. It sounds like there could be something more malicious at play if multiple keyboards are failing like this. Are you sure there’s no malware messing with your system? You might want to double-check that with a reliable malware guide just in case.

I started with the generic one that came with the PC, then used a Maxwell I barely touched, and now I have an R8 Bluetooth. Right now, I’m borrowing a random one and it already feels off!

Consider checking if there’s an electrical issue with your USB ports or any power surges that might be affecting your keyboards. If they aren’t working on other computers either, it’s possible that there's something that's damaging them electrically. Maybe try using them in a different setup or with a powered USB hub?
