I'm having a frustrating issue with my dual monitor setup. Every time I turn on my computer, it's like a game of chance whether both monitors will work or not. I switch on my PC, and initially, both monitors light up. But after a few seconds, the system reboots itself, and then the monitors start jumping around their inputs. I often find myself rebooting the PC multiple times—sometimes it takes three tries, sometimes four, before I can get at least one monitor to work. It's hit or miss! What's particularly annoying is that some days everything runs smoothly, while other days it's a total hassle. I've done a few troubleshooting steps like rebooting, holding the power button, and unplugging cords to try different ports. Right now, both monitors are connected to the graphics card. When they do work, the display is flawless, but I'm really tired of this inconsistent performance. Just so you know, I built this computer only two weeks ago!

If you built the PC recently, it might also be worth checking all your connections and making sure everything is seated properly. Sometimes the simplest fixes help. Look into whether your monitors need any specific settings adjusted in their menu options too. It’s definitely frustrating going through that every day, but I hope you find a solution soon!
It sounds like you might be dealing with issues related to your Nvidia drivers. I had a similar problem where one of my monitors wouldn't register correctly, especially with one connected via DisplayPort and the other through HDMI. Restarting the monitors didn't help, and I often had to restart my whole PC for everything to sync up correctly. It drove me nuts, and I eventually switched to just using one HDMI monitor. The good news is that Nvidia usually releases driver updates to fix these kinds of problems, so be sure to check if you've got the latest version!
I struggled with a similar setup, and it turned out the Nvidia drivers were causing the chaos. If you have your main monitor on DisplayPort and the second on HDMI, that setup could mess with the detection order, making it complicated. Try connecting both monitors via HDMI first to see if that stabilizes things for you. If you're still having trouble, consider reaching out to Nvidia support as they might be able to provide further assistance!
I just updated my drivers through the NVIDIA app, so maybe that will help? I’m also using two HDMI cables, so fingers crossed!
