I've noticed that on my new laptop, 60 FPS gameplay looks choppy, almost like 30 FPS, which is surprising since I upgraded to a machine with better hardware and a 120Hz display. Using an FPS monitor can be really helpful to confirm whether you're actually hitting 60 FPS. Sometimes the in-game display might not be accurate. Have you tried tools like MSI Afterburner or Rivatuner? They can give you a reliable readout on your FPS.
Did you just switch from a 60Hz to a 120Hz display? If that’s the case, your eyes might just be more accustomed to the smoother frames of 120Hz. I run on a 240Hz monitor, and anything lower feels laggy to me now. However, when watching videos or seeing my sibling play on their console, 60 FPS looks fine.

I actually don’t have G-Sync or an OLED display, but I wanted to try G-Sync to see if it would help. It's just not an option for me.
