Why does AppleCare say I’m out of incidents for my iPhone screen repair?

I recently bought an iPhone 16 Pro and also got AppleCare for it. Unfortunately, I cracked my screen, but when I checked the support options, it says I'm "out of incidents" for screen repair, even though I haven't used my AppleCare at all. I noticed there's also an option for express replacement. Should I go with that instead? I'm really confused about what to do next.

First off, check your device settings. Go to Settings > General > AppleCare & Warranty > This Device and see what it says. Also, be sure to know where you purchased the phone from. If you consider express replacement, make sure your credit card can cover the non-return cost. The amount will be refunded once you send your original device back.

Thanks for the tip! I checked my settings, and it shows everything as "covered," which is good to know. I purchased my phone from Virgin Mobile here in Canada.
