I recently replaced my AOC 25G3ZM with an ASUS TUF Gaming Series 5 VG259QMRL5A to improve motion clarity. I'm using ELMB with Clarity set to level 2 and overdrive disabled, but the image still looks extremely blurry—almost like 720p instead of 1080p. I've tried various monitor and Windows settings without finding a solution. The display is already set to 1920×1080, and scaling is set correctly. What else could cause this?

First, verify that Windows is actually outputting 1920×1080 at the monitor’s native resolution. Also check display scaling, since Windows can sometimes apply 125% scaling to a newly connected screen. If both are correct, compare the image with ELMB disabled to see whether the blur is caused by the strobing mode or its clarity setting.
Could you describe what looks blurry? If the whole desktop, text, and static images look soft, it may be a signal, sharpness, scaling, or picture-mode issue. If only moving objects look blurry, ELMB and the monitor’s response-time settings are more likely responsible. Try resetting the monitor to its defaults, disabling ELMB, and testing a normal refresh mode before changing individual settings.
The overall picture looks very soft, not just motion. It resembles a low-resolution 720p image even though the display is set to 1080p.
I checked those settings, and the monitor is definitely running at 1920×1080 with the correct scaling. The image still looks very blurry.
