I recently upgraded my gaming setup and now have a Ryzen 5 7600X, RTX 4070, 32GB DDR5, and a 360Hz Alienware monitor. The first day I played CS2, everything was great, but starting on the second day, it just doesn't feel like it's running at 360Hz anymore. I've fiddled with all the settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel and in-game, but nothing seems to help. I even reinstalled Windows and updated the drivers today, but still, I notice no improvement. Has anyone else experienced this issue and found a solution?

First off, make sure your monitor's refresh rate is set to 360Hz in the Windows Display Settings. Sometimes it can default to a lower refresh rate without you realizing it.
The feeling of smoothness can be pretty subjective. I’ve had issues with gsync where it caused terrible stuttering. Try toggling gsync off to see if that helps. It could be causing frame alternating issues.
I tried turning that off and saw no change. Honestly, I'm puzzled.
Having a 360Hz monitor is awesome, but you also need to ensure your frame rate is actually hitting that 360 FPS mark. If it’s fluctuating, it can feel choppy. Try enabling variable refresh rate if your monitor supports it; if not, turning on Vsync might help stabilize the experience. And if you notice lower FPS, consider adjusting your graphics settings for better performance.
My FPS is solid, around 400-500. It definitely doesn’t feel like it did on the first day, though.
Double-check your monitor's settings and confirm that your FPS in CS2 is stable; some users reported recent bugs affecting performance. Make sure everything's optimized on that front.
FPS isn’t an issue for me; I manage 400-500 most times.
Are you using any frame generation technology? If so, try disabling it as it could introduce extra input lag, even with high FPS.
What do you mean by that? Is there a setting for frame generation in CS2?
Yeah, I’m curious about that too. Where do I find that option?

I checked, and it’s definitely set to 360Hz.
