I've been experiencing a weird issue with my Alienware monitor where it goes black for about two seconds before coming back on. It doesn't completely disconnect; it just flashes black. I've tried different displayport cables while connecting to my laptop and new PC, but the problem persists. It seems to happen consistently when I plug in devices like my phone or headphones, and oddly enough, it also occurs when a light in the bathroom near my room is turned on. Could this be related to static electricity or something else?

It sounds more like an issue with your power outlet rather than the monitor itself. There could be something off with the electrical wiring that's causing power fluctuations to your monitor. If you can, try plugging the monitor into a different outlet and see what happens.
You might want to swap out the displayport for HDMI just to troubleshoot. I had a similar issue before, and switching cables made it go away. Can't hurt to give it a shot!
