I recently noticed that my camera is displaying black lines, and I have no idea what caused it. I read online that it could be a virus or some form of damage. The lines change when I get close to the camera lens. If it is indeed a virus, could anyone guide me on how to get rid of it?

It sounds like you might be dealing with a hardware issue rather than a virus. Can you tell us what type of camera you’re using? Is it a smartphone, webcam, or something else? Knowing the exact model would help a lot!
