Why does my computer crash when I enable turbo boost?

I used to keep the turbo boost feature off on my Intel i9 11th gen CPU because it caused a major drop in performance by about 30-40%. But now, every time I turn it on, my PC crashes after about an hour of use. The highest CPU temperature I recorded was around 53°C, so I don't think overheating is the primary issue. When my computer crashes, it just turns off completely for a moment, and then automatically restarts. I'm really trying to figure out what's causing these crashes.

You might be dealing with a power supply issue. When you activate turbo boost, it could be increasing your CPU's power draw significantly, causing the PSU to fail momentarily or send unstable voltages. It's worth testing your system with another PSU if you have one handy.

I doubt it's the PSU. I've gone through two of them already, including a solid 1200-watt EVGA unit. It seems unlikely that your system is drawing so much power that it would cause an issue.
