I recently built a gaming PC, but I can't connect it to the internet via Ethernet since my router is far away. Unfortunately, I've gone through three WiFi adapters within just a year, and it seems like they keep burning out. The first one was a high-end Nano adapter, but now I'm using a more affordable TP-Link adapter. I've noticed that the adapters get extremely hot and perform poorly under load. My current setup gives me varying speeds on the PC, starting at 80 Mbps but dropping to almost nothing during downloads, while my phone connected to the same WiFi does just fine. Given that I've got an MSI Z390-A Pro motherboard and I'm starting to wonder if I should consider alternatives, what do you recommend?

Honestly, USB WiFi adapters usually aren't very reliable. I'd recommend switching to a powerline adapter or investing in a quality PCIe WiFi card to get a more stable connection. Those options typically work much better for gaming setups.
Powerline adapters work great! They've saved me in tricky internet situations.
