Hey everyone! I'm having a frustrating issue with my iMac, which is running macOS Big Sur. It randomly shuts down every 10-15 minutes, and I've tried several fixes without success. Oddly enough, the issue seemed to resolve itself for one night a couple of days ago, but it's back again. I'm at a loss for what to do. Can anyone help?

Given that your iMac is a bit older, it might be a leaky capacitor issue. I've seen that happen a lot. For me, it turned out to be a kernel panic, but I fixed it by turning off all energy-saving settings.
Check out this troubleshooting guide to see if it can help figure out why your iMac is shutting down. By the way, how old is your iMac?
Have you recently upgraded the RAM? Sometimes that can cause issues if there's a compatibility problem.
No, I haven't upgraded the RAM at all.
Thanks for the guide! My logs show 5 as the shutdown reason, but they seem random. I'm using a late 2014 iMac.
