I recently separated from my wife and we used to share an Apple ID. Now I've created my own Apple ID, and while everything went well, I keep getting prompted once a day to enter the password for my old Apple ID. It's not a huge hassle since I can update my apps without needing that password, but I find it a bit frustrating. I've deleted all the old apps and redownloaded them. Any idea why this is happening?

You may have missed an app that was installed under your old account. When you share Apple IDs, it can lead to a lot of confusion. If it keeps bothering you, consider setting up your phone as new. Also, linking both accounts as a family could help.
It’s possible that you’re still logged in with your old Apple ID for services like iMessage or FaceTime, or maybe even Game Center. Double-check those settings to see if that's the case!
This could be a sign of a potential hack. Sometimes, prompts for old passwords can indicate someone is trying to access your account. Keep an eye on things. If it feels off, change your passwords.
