Has anyone else noticed that their iPhone is offloading apps without them wanting it to? I never enabled the auto-offload feature in my settings, yet I've found several apps offloaded without my consent. I prefer to keep my apps available, even if I'm not using them often. Instead of automatically offloading, I would like to manage my storage manually. Additionally, I'm getting constant notifications about not having enough storage for iOS updates, and I'm wondering if there's a connection between the offloading feature and these update notifications. My iPhone is an Xs Max running iOS version 18.2.1, and it's frustrating that I can't find a way to stop these notifications about updates. Anyone else feel like Apple is being a bit overbearing with this?

I hear you! Offloading apps can be annoying, and I agree it shouldn't happen without consent. But Apple may be trying to help users manage limited storage in a non-intrusive way. Still, it should be fully user-controlled. Remember, you could always delete specific apps yourself before they get offloaded!
You should really keep your device updated to avoid these issues. If you're not installing updates, it could lead to storage problems. It might be worth it to check your available space regularly and manage your apps more closely.
From what I know, the auto-offload feature is supposed to help manage storage by asking for your input first. It's weird if it turned on without you enabling it yourself. Have you checked your settings thoroughly? It shouldn’t just change like that.
That sounds good in theory, but what if I want to decide which apps stay? Apple should allow us to handle our own storage without automatic actions. It's our phone at the end of the day!
