Why Does My iPhone Think I’m in Japan?

Hey everyone, I'm a bit freaked out! After getting off a flight and using WiFi, I plugged my iPhone into a rental car and noticed all of my Google auto-fill suggestions are in Japanese, plus my Google Maps has switched to kilometers. Strangely, Apple Maps and Bing are working normally. I'm worried I might have picked up a virus or something weird. Has anyone else experienced this? What can I do to fix it? Should I restore from an earlier backup to eliminate a potential virus?

It sounds like your location settings might be confused. Have you checked if you're running a VPN? That could cause your device to think you're in another country. Also, make sure your location settings are set correctly. It might be a good idea to restart your phone or check if your iOS and apps are updated. If you’re still having issues, consider reaching out to Apple support—they can run diagnostics.
