I've been experiencing a frustrating problem where my laptop keyboard shuts down for about 10-15 seconds approximately every minute. It seems to happen less often when I'm actively typing, but it's still annoying. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Just to clarify, do you mean the keyboard backlight turns off? If that's the issue, it could be software controlling the timeout for the backlight. But if your entire keyboard stops working after you pause typing, that's different. The fact that it works fine while you're actively engaged in gaming or typing suggests it might not just be a software issue.
It sounds like a potential hardware issue, which is pretty common with laptop keyboards. First off, make sure to check if your drivers are up to date. Head over to your laptop's support site and look for any keyboard or input device drivers that might need reinstallation. Another thing you could do is boot from a Linux live USB stick. If the keyboard still has problems there, it’s more likely you'll need to replace it.
