I've noticed that my HP laptop seems to run worse when it's plugged in. It used to work perfectly fine while charging, but now there are noticeable delays and overall poorer performance whenever I connect it to the power. When I unplug it, things improve quite a bit—not perfect, but better than when it's connected. I'm looking for solutions or fixes to this issue. Any thoughts?

Have you inspected your charger for any signs of damage on the plug or cable? Sometimes the charging connection gets compromised, and if the signal wire is damaged, your laptop might throttle its performance to avoid overloading. If you have a USB-C charger, the problem could also be with the cable or the charger itself not being rated correctly.
Check the battery settings! Click the battery icon in the bottom right corner, then select the battery settings from the popup. You can set the power mode to 'high performance' when plugged in and 'balanced' while on battery. This can help boost performance when charging.
That could explain why I've had trouble plugging it in lately. I remember it being a bit tricky a few weeks back—maybe the charging port is damaged?
