Why does my laptop say “no internet” when my phone connects fine?

I've been having a weird issue with my laptop that I can't quite put my finger on. It connects to the WiFi just fine, but it keeps saying there's no internet access. My phone connects to the same network without any problems, as do my other devices. I had no issues a couple of days ago, and now out of the blue, my laptop won't connect properly. I've even tried setting up a mobile hotspot from my phone, but I ran into some issues there too. Any suggestions on what I can do to get my laptop back online?

Have you considered restarting your laptop? It's a classic fix, but it can sometimes solve these kinds of issues. No harm in trying!

Since you've already tried restarting, another thing you might want to do is forget the WiFi network on your laptop and then reconnect to it. Sometimes, that can resolve connection issues without much hassle. Just make sure you're entering the password correctly when you reconnect!
