Why Does My Laptop Shut Down When It’s Unplugged?

My laptop is about a year and a half old, and I've recently noticed that it shuts down as soon as I unplug it from the power source. I've checked the battery status in the settings and made sure everything is updated, but nothing seems to work. I'm thinking about resetting it to see if that helps. By the way, I do have another laptop I can use as a backup.

Your post is a bit confusing, but it seems like you mean laptop, right?

Just to clarify, are you confirming that you're talking about a laptop? What brand is it? Like HP, Dell, or Lenovo?

Yeah, it sounds like a typical issue with laptops. They might shut down due to battery problems when not plugged in.
