Why Does My Monitor Keep Going Black During Games?

I've been experiencing a frustrating issue where my monitor suddenly goes black and freezes while playing certain games, like Kenshi and Left 4 Dead 2. This has never happened before, and it's odd because my PC continues to run; the fans are still on and everything. I can't use any shortcuts like Alt + Tab or Ctrl + Alt + Del to get back to the desktop. The only way to turn off my PC is by holding down the power button. I've read that this could be due to a failing GPU or power supply issues, but I'm not sure. My setup is decent but not top-of-the-line: I'm using 16GB of RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Super GPU (which I've attempted to update and rollback the drivers), and an Intel Core i5-10400F CPU running at 2.90GHz. Any advice on what I should try next?

Next time your monitor goes black, try hitting Ctrl + Shift + Win + B; this can reset your display driver. If that doesn’t work and your monitor still goes into sleep mode while the game audio keeps playing, you might want to consider using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to completely remove your GPU drivers before reinstalling the latest version.

I tried that combo when my screen went black, but nothing happened. Just black screens and my monitor didn't respond, so I'm leaning more toward a hardware issue.
