Every time I try to connect my Xbox Series controller wirelessly, my PC crashes with a SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION error. I've updated all the relevant drivers and the firmware of the controller through the Xbox Accessories app. It's strange because other Bluetooth devices work fine, and even different Xbox controllers cause the same crash. According to the Event Viewer, the crash is linked to xinputhid and svchost.exe, with a bugcheck exception code of c0000005 showing up in the dump file. Anyone know what might be causing this?

Here's my dump file for you to review: [link]. From what I see, the xinputhid.sys driver is attempting to add the controller, but something goes awry, causing Windows to crash. There's another driver involved that's linked to the Windows Driver Framework, but it doesn't specify the exact issue. One thought: have you tried using the controller on a different PC to see if it causes the same problem? It could potentially be a faulty controller!
It sounds like you might need to grab some dump files for a better look at the BSOD. If you can boot into Windows normally or Safe Mode, check the C:WindowsMinidump folder for any crash logs. Once you find them, zip the folder and upload it to a file-sharing site. You can also change the dump type to Small Memory Dump for more detailed logs. This way, we can get to the bottom of the issue!
Yeah, it could be a hardware issue if it fails on another PC. If that's the case, exploring a warranty or getting a replacement might be necessary.
