Why does my PC feel slow after GPU upgrade?

Hey everyone! I recently upgraded my graphics card from a 2060 to a 5060 and also replaced my power supply. However, I've noticed that some parts of my PC feel slow, like launching games. The load times themselves aren't too bad, and the games run smoothly at high FPS, but moving my mouse on the desktop feels sluggish. Applications like Chrome seem to run fine, though. I also used DDU and reinstalled Windows, but the issues persist. For example, Marvel Rivals now takes about 1-2 minutes to load from the launcher, and Dead By Daylight takes around 40 seconds, which feels longer than before. Am I going crazy or is something wrong?

Make sure to check if your GPU has a dual BIOS switch. Some models have one for silent operation and another for performance. An issue with power delivery on older systems might lead to stutters and crashes if it's not configured right. Just something I ran into when I upgraded before!

Just a thought—are both your RAM sticks properly seated? I forgot to plug in my RAM fully after my last upgrade, and it caused a bunch of slowdowns.

What kind of storage are you using? If your games are installed on an HDD instead of an SSD, that could also slow down loading times. Make sure the games are on your SSD for better performance!

It sounds like your monitor's refresh rate might have gotten reset during the driver installation. Check your settings to ensure it's set to the correct refresh rate. That could definitely make your mouse feel sluggish on the desktop!

This might've been it! I had no idea the drivers could change monitor settings, but I just checked and they were set back to 60 Hz. Thanks for the tip!
