I've been experiencing a frustrating issue where my PC starts freezing for a few seconds whenever I have more than 10 tabs open in Chrome. My setup includes an AMD RX 6700 XT GPU, a 12600K CPU, and 32 GB of RAM, and I've confirmed that my hardware runs smoothly under stress tests. Even with Task Manager showing less than 50% RAM usage and minimal CPU and GPU activity, Chrome just seems unable to utilize more resources. I've tried disabling GPU acceleration, reinstalling Chrome, and even reinstalling Windows, but nothing seems to resolve the problem. Has anyone else faced something similar or have any suggestions? Also, I'm running Windows 11 25H2 on an Adata XPG SX8200 Pro SSD.

Honestly, Chrome can be heavy on resources, depending on the extensions and tabs you keep open. Consider disabling any unnecessary extensions. Sometimes, the issue might be with extensions consuming resources in the background, even if RAM looks fine!
Have you checked your BIOS settings or disk setup? Tweaks there can sometimes lead to unexpected performance issues. But remember to back up your data before making any changes!
Have you thought about trying a different browser, like Firefox? Sometimes, Chrome can get bogged down with too many tabs open, and a switch might help you see if it’s a browser-specific issue. Give it a shot!
If you're using all of your storage on an SSD, make sure it isn't close to getting full. Even a performant SSD can slow down if the space is too cramped, especially with many tabs open in RAM-heavy programs like Chrome. Keep it under 80% capacity if you want to avoid slowdowns!
It sounds like your SSD might be struggling when Chrome loads a lot of tabs. Even with 32GB of RAM, if your drive isn't performing well or is nearly full, it can cause those freezes. Check the SSD health and monitor the temperature when under load. If it’s still healthy, you could consider switching to your Samsung EVO 970 since it might give better performance.
I checked my ADATA SX8200 Pro, and it's healthy, with speeds around 3500MB/s and half the space free. Still, I’ll keep the Samsung EVO in mind.

I haven’t tried Firefox yet, but I plan to test it out. Thanks for the suggestion!
