I've recently built a new PC with an ASRock A520M-HDV motherboard, along with a Ryzen 7 5700G processor and some RAM from a working system. I'm running into a frustrating problem where the PC randomly reboots, both in Windows 11 and Ubuntu—even during the setup process. I've made sure to run stress tests with OCCT, and it can run for hours without issues at times, but it also can reboot after just a few minutes. I've tried swapping power supplies and testing the RAM with memtest86, which passed. There are no BSODs, just sudden shutdowns and restarts. I've restored the BIOS to factory defaults and ensured there are no overclocks. Any ideas what might be causing this?

Random reboots can often point to power supply issues or faulty hardware. Double-check your power cables and connections. If you have access to another power supply, trying a different one could help narrow down the problem.
If you're able to boot into Windows, consider enabling crash dumps for a better diagnosis. You can find them in C:WindowsMinidump. This will help gather more info about what’s going on during the reboots. It might provide clues for troubleshooting.
I'll take a look for those dump files and see what I can find. Thanks for the tip!
It sounds like you might want to check your BIOS settings or the compatibility of your components. Sometimes, a setting can cause instability. Have you tried updating your BIOS to the latest version? Also, monitor your temperatures while stress testing to make sure nothing is overheating before it shuts down.
Yeah, definitely keep an eye on temps. I've seen even CPU throttling cause issues if it gets too hot, but it sounds like you've done a good job monitoring that. Updating the BIOS could also help fix any bugs affecting stability.
I’ve swapped out the power supply already, but I’ll double-check all the connections just to be safe!
