Why Does My PC Keep Saying It Doesn’t Have a Boot Device?

So, I left my PC off for a while, and when I turned it back on, I saw a message saying 'Checking media presence,' and then got a 502 windows error stating 'boot device not found, please install operating system on your hard drive.' I'm really confused because it was working perfectly just 15 minutes ago. I tried unplugging and plugging back in the drive and booting into the BIOS, but it only brought up the Hardware Diagnostics UEFI. Running the test showed nothing wrong with the hard drive. What could be going on?

Don't worry too much! I had a similar issue once. I ended up giving up and just got a USB to reinstall Windows. Sometimes it's easier to start fresh rather than get too bogged down in fixing old problems, you know? Just try not to stress about it; it happens to the best of us!
