Why Does My PC Keep Shutting Down Randomly at Home?

I'm experiencing a super frustrating issue where my PC randomly shuts down without any BSOD or warning. This has been going on for weeks, and I've already tested several things, including the hardware, PSU, grounding, and the outlet itself. Here are my specs: Intel Core i7-9700K CPU, NVIDIA RTX 4070 GPU, Gigabyte Z390M Gaming motherboard, 64GB DDR4 RAM, and an MSI MAG A850GL (850W) PSU, which is brand new. My OS is fully updated Windows 10.

The shutdowns occur out of nowhere, similar to a power cut. The GPU fans kick to max, and I have to turn the PSU off and on again to reboot. I've had it stress-tested for over 24 hours with no issues, but once I bring it home, it shuts down within an hour or even just a few minutes.

I've switched outlets, ensured proper grounding, and even worked with an electrician. He suspects there might be transients or high-frequency noise affecting the PSU. I've also tried various troubleshooting steps, like formatting Windows and checking power plans, but nothing seems to work. My UPS and power filters haven't made a difference either.

I'm really desperate for advice, especially on whether this could be an issue with my PSU being too sensitive or if investing in a better power conditioner might help. Has anyone faced similar issues when only at home? Would switching to a different PSU help with electrical noise tolerance?

Also, I wouldn't be too worried about the MSI PSU being overly sensitive, as it’s generally a good brand. If it's working fine at the technician's place, then it might be something about your home power supply causing these fluctuations. Have you checked with a professional about disturbances in your home electrical system? That could be worth looking into.

It’s odd that the issue only happens at home. Are you sure your UPS is rated high enough for your setup? It shouldn't be localized to just your house, and if the UPS isn't sufficient, that could cause shutdowns.

Have you tried running the PC without the GPU? Just use the onboard graphics to see if that changes anything. Also, it could be worth testing with only one stick of RAM at a time to help isolate the issue. Sometimes, removing components can reveal what's really causing the problem.
