Why Does My PC Keep Shutting Down When I Stream with OBS?

I'm having a weird issue with my PC. Every time I try to record for more than 30 minutes or stream using OBS, it just shuts down without any warning. I can play games for hours without a hitch, but as soon as I use OBS, it powers off. I've performed stress tests multiple times and everything seems to be fine. I'm really not sure what's causing this, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

If everything is running fine with your other tasks, it might be an issue with OBS itself since you recently transitioned from AMD's recording services. Sometimes, settings in OBS can cause conflicts especially if you're not used to the interface yet. Try checking the output settings or updating OBS to see if that helps.

Have you checked your task manager while recording? Sometimes one of your components like the CPU, RAM, or GPU might hit 100% usage and cause a shutdown. Also, keep an eye on your CPU and GPU temperatures during this process. It's rare, but if your drive is nearing failure, it could be an issue too. And make sure you have enough storage space available for your recordings—ideally, still have about 20% free space left after recording.
