I've been having a frustrating issue where my PC shuts itself off while I'm gaming. This started about a week ago, and here's a quick overview of my setup: I'm using Windows 11 with a dual monitor setup (1x Acer VG272U V3 and 1x Acer KA271 B). My CPU is an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, with a Gigabyte B550M AORUS PRO-P motherboard, 32 GB of Crucial Technology DDR4-2400 RAM (4x8 GB), and a Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti GPU. For storage, I have two WD Blue SA510 SSDs.
The problem first cropped up when I tried to play Helldivers 2. The game was lagging severely, dropping to around 5 FPS, and then my PC just shut down without any blue screen. When I tried to turn it back on, it got to the bootup screen but shut off again. After a few tries, it started working normally. I took it to Geek Squad, thinking it was a GPU issue, but they suggested it was the SSD my games were on. I replaced the SSD, but today while loading Stellaris, I experienced lag again, and it shut down like before. Now I'm worried it's a GPU problem. What do you all think?

Start by checking your CPU and GPU temperatures. It sounds like overheating could be an issue, especially since you mentioned that letting it sit off for a few minutes allows it to run fine again. If you're pushing the system with heavy loads, it might not be cooling properly.
You should also check for any dump files if you can boot into Windows normally. They can help diagnose if there's a bigger problem at play, like a driver issue. Look for the files in C:WindowsMinidump and consider posting them for analysis if you find any.
Consider your power supply as well. If it's underpowered, it might cause your system to shut down unexpectedly under load. Check to see if it's sufficient for your components, especially with that RTX 3070 Ti running high demands.
Yeah, my cooling situation isn't ideal. My desktop is on the ground and it's pretty dusty. I'm thinking about getting a liquid cooling solution since the airflow isn't great under my desk. Right now, my GPU temp is around 63-64°C when playing Stellaris, but it hits around the 90°C mark during graphically intensive games.
