I've got a Windows 11 PC and sometimes when I hit the shut down button, only the monitors turn off while the computer itself stays on. It's frustrating because I have to force it to turn off by holding the power button, and when I boot it back up, everything seems fine. Is this a common issue? How can I stop this from happening in the future? I'd show a video as proof, but I haven't captured one yet. Thanks for any help!

It's common for PCs to take a bit longer than your monitors to shut down. This can happen due to the OS performing background tasks before fully powering off. However, if it's taking significantly longer than usual, it might be worth looking into. Just make sure you're regularly backing up your data before making any changes to your system, as that can sometimes lead to issues!
You’re not alone in this! Sometimes Windows has processes that need to finish before it turns off, so giving it a bit longer might help. If it still seems abnormal, just keep an eye on it for now and maybe look into updating drivers or checking your power settings.
Thanks for the tips! I’ll definitely keep an eye on it and see if it continues. If it does, I might explore those settings!
Yeah, I noticed that sometimes my PC seems to hang on shutting down. If it's too slow, it might be worth checking your BIOS settings for any tweaks that could help.
