I'm having an issue with my newly built PC where it powers on for a moment and then turns off right away. I'm using some components from my old prebuilt setup, and this is my first time putting a PC together myself. I suspect a bent pin on the CPU might be the culprit. Also, the PSU I'm using has a cable that's not long enough to connect to the 12V 2x4 power slot. Could that be contributing to the problem?

It sounds like you might not have the CPU power cable plugged in, which could definitely cause the PC to not boot properly. A bent CPU pin would also lead to issues, but if it fits in the socket, it might be okay. Check that power connection first!
If you've got a bent CPU pin, that could definitely be a problem, but sometimes slightly bent pins can get straightened out when you latch the CPU into the socket. Let's focus on that PSU situation. Is the cable you're using actually too short, and can you plug it in at all?
I saw the pictures you shared, and it looks like that bent CPU pin needs to be fixed or, if that's not possible, consider replacing the motherboard. And don’t forget, you must plug in the CPU power cables!
