Hey everyone, I recently upgraded my setup from a Ryzen 9 5900x to a Ryzen 7 7800x 3D and I'm using a Strix B-650-A Gaming Motherboard with 64GB Corsair RAM rated at 6000Hz. Everything was smooth until I tried enabling DOCP/XMP after installation. Now, I keep getting the message: "the system has POSTed in safe mode this may be due to previous POST attempt failing because of system instability." I've tried adjusting the voltage between 1.35V and 1.40V, updating the BIOS, and lowering the RAM speed down to 4200MHz to avoid crashes. But I really want to run my RAM at the speed I paid for! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you're running 64GB, sometimes that amount of RAM can strain budget motherboards. Try using just one stick to see if it boots at the higher speed. If it does, then you know it’s either RAM or the board that’s the limit. Also, make sure your BIOS is updated to the latest version. It can make a big difference!
Have you tried booting without overclocking your RAM at all? If it works fine without the overclock, that could help narrow down the issue. It’s frustrating to have RAM underperform, but sometimes it’s just not compatible or the motherboard can't handle it. Also, check if your motherboard requires you to populate specific slots for the RAM to run at higher speeds.
What BIOS version are you on? Sometimes, manufacturers release updates specifically to improve memory compatibility, and running the latest version might solve your problems. Also, check the slots where you’re putting your RAM; they should be in A2 and B2 for optimal performance, especially with 2 sticks.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll check my BIOS version and make sure I have them in the right slots. Appreciate the help!
Yeah, I’ve noticed some mobos have weird configurations for RAM slots. If you’re running 4 sticks, they might flake out at higher speeds. Might be worth trying just 2 sticks and see if that helps!
