Why does my TV keep losing connection while gaming on my PC?

Hey folks, I recently built a new computer and set up a system with a decent monitor connected via DisplayPort and a fancy 4K OLED Samsung TV using HDMI 2.1. I got a long HDMI cable to enjoy gaming on the TV, but I'm having a frustrating issue where the TV often drops the connection to the computer while playing games. I usually have to reboot my computer to regain the signal.

In my display settings, my monitor is set as screen 1 and the TV as screen 2. To get the game to launch on the TV, I often have to disconnect the DisplayPort cable from my graphics card completely. If you need any more details, feel free to ask! Thanks for any help in advance!

Your issue might stem from the quality of your HDMI cable, especially if it's a lengthy one. If the cable is over 25 feet, that could be pushing the limits of signal strength. I recommend trying a VESA certified HDMI cable, and if you still need it long, consider using an active optical HDMI cable.

I doubt that's the issue. I have a decent quality long cable and it works just fine.
