I've been experiencing a frustrating issue for almost a year now. Whenever I turn on my PC, which is connected via Ethernet, my WiFi becomes super slow on all my other devices—phones, TVs, laptops, you name it! I have a 1Gbps plan, so this just doesn't seem normal. Is there something wrong that I need to fix? My PC is running Windows 11.

You might want to check your network speed in the Task Manager. Sometimes there could be something using a lot of bandwidth in the background that's slowing everything down.
My network shows '0%' usage; seems strange!
Check if you're running any cloud backup apps like OneDrive. They might be trying to upload a ton of data, which can eat up your bandwidth and slow down everything else.
Could be a bad Ethernet cable causing interruptions. You could try swapping it out and see if that helps. Alternatively, if you have a wireless option, seeing if that changes things could be useful too.
I built this PC two years ago and upgraded it recently, but sadly it only has Ethernet, no WiFi.
Try disconnecting the Ethernet cable from your PC and see if the WiFi speed improves. It's possible there's some interference happening, though that's not super common. Also worth a shot is a factory reset on your router to troubleshoot any issues.
Did a speed test when unplugged, and it jumped from 50 Mbps to around 92 Mbps!
Got it, I’ll look into that.
