Hey everyone, I'm having a major headache trying to install Windows 11 on my desktop and I keep getting stuck at 42% during the installation. I replaced my old SSD with a new Samsung 990 Pro 1TB (with a heatsink) and created a fresh installer using Microsoft's Media Creation Tool on a new USB drive. My setup includes a Ryzen 5 3600, a Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite motherboard, and 16GB of ADATA DDR4 RAM. The BIOS recognizes the SSD just fine, so I don't think it's a hardware issue. Before I decided to reinstall, I was experiencing some pretty severe lag in the Windows Settings app, my Wi-Fi networks weren't being detected, and my PC wouldn't completely shut down. I've tried recreating the installer multiple times, adjusting BIOS settings, and isolating the SSD, but nothing has worked so far. Has anyone else run into this problem? Any tips you could share would be awesome! Thanks!

It sounds like you're dealing with a frustrating issue! One thing to try is removing one of your RAM sticks, especially if you're using multiple sticks. Sometimes having more than one can cause conflicts during the installation. Just leave one in, preferably in the A2 slot, and see if it helps.

Thanks for the suggestion! I’m kind of new to troubleshooting PCs, so just curious, how does removing one RAM stick help with installation?
