Hey everyone, I'm having a weird issue with my Windows C drive. It says it's full, showing 37GB of apps installed. However, when I look at the list of installed apps, Euro Truck Simulator is at the top, taking up 28GB. I tried to uninstall it, but the window just closed on me, and now I can't find the game anywhere on my PC. Yet, Windows still believes there's 37GB worth of apps installed. The largest file I see now is only 410MB. My C drive is only 100GB, and it mostly has Windows files. What gives?

Honestly, a 100GB drive is a tough spot these days. Windows and several updates can easily take up a ton of space. Beyond that, you’ve got hibernation and virtual memory files that can eat up gigs too. If upgrading your drive isn’t an option, consider using tools like WinDirStat or WizTree to see what's actually using your space. You'll probably need to clear out some installed apps.
It sounds like a classic case of Windows misreporting space. Make sure you've emptied your Recycle Bin after deleting stuff. If that doesn't work, check out this app called Everything from Voidtools. It can help you locate files that standard search might miss. It might give you a clearer picture of what's taking up space.
Yup, 100GB is pretty tight now with all the updates and apps. You might want to consider getting a larger drive. If that's not possible, definitely check the WinSXS folder and clean up any old volume shadow copies to free up some space.
Sounds like you might just need to re-evaluate what’s installed on your C drive. Sometimes, what's listed as installed is only a fraction of the actual used space with OS files. If you have anything that can be uninstalled from C and reinstalled elsewhere, it might help clear up some space.
Have you checked for any hidden files or system files? Sometimes those can take up a surprising amount of room. WizTree is a great tool to see what’s really being used on your drive.
I really don’t want to reinstall Windows just to change the partitions.
