Why is ChatGPT acting like the worst employee ever?

I've been working on a presentation and asked ChatGPT to spruce it up with photos and animations based on my provided topic and outline. Since Saturday, it keeps assuring me it'll deliver it in Canva by a certain time, but I never get any updates. I end up having to micromanage because it keeps missing its own deadlines and basically goes silent on me. When I do get a link, it either doesn't work, or worse, it's just plain white slides with text. It feels like I'm being gaslighted here! If this were a real employee, I would have had enough write-ups to fire them by now. Does anyone have any tips for getting better results?

Sounds like you're having a rough time! One trick that might help is to focus on giving one request at a time. Instead of asking for the whole presentation at once, try to get it done page by page. It sometimes helps streamline the process and ensures you're getting the content you want. Good luck!

Yeah, it does sound like ChatGPT is trying to avoid the task! I've had similar experiences where it just didn’t understand what I wanted. Try being super specific about what you need each time, that might reduce confusion.

I can totally relate! It seems like ChatGPT can get overwhelmed. Your idea of micromanaging it isn't wrong; sometimes, breaking tasks into smaller, more manageable chunks helps. If you ask for specific sections and give feedback after each, it might improve the replies you get.
