Why is ChatGPT Acting Up After the Update?

Hey everyone, I downloaded ChatGPT a few days ago and was using it to generate text ideas by uploading photos. It was really helpful at first, but after the recent update, it started asking too many random questions and isn't as helpful as it used to be. I'm feeling pretty lost and desperate for some answers. Does anyone know why this is happening?

You can actually explain what you want to ChatGPT and see if it can adjust. Remember, preferences don’t carry over between chats, so you'll need to remind it what you want each time. If it’s asking too many questions, just tell it you prefer concise answers or less back-and-forth!

Exactly! You can create a sort of protocol for your chats. It won't remember preferences after the session ends, but by pasting what you want it to follow, it can adapt to that structure again. It’s a simple workaround for a tricky problem.

It sounds like you're relying on AI a bit too heavily. Maybe the update is trying to encourage more genuine interaction instead of just churning out ideas for you, which could be a good thing! Have you thought about being more direct with it? Sometimes, telling ChatGPT what you want or that you prefer fewer questions can help guide the conversation better. It's worth a shot!

That’s a good point! Setting some ground rules could make a difference. And yeah, maybe it’s a chance to work on bringing more ideas or input yourself. Could be a win-win!

Honestly, I'm kind of on your side here. Sometimes it's frustrating when the tool you rely on doesn't behave as you expect. Just know you’re not alone in feeling this way—technology can be finicky!

I feel like some people might be overreacting. Just because it’s asking more questions doesn’t mean it’s harmful. Maybe it’s just trying to get you to engage more deeply? It could actually be beneficial in the long run.

True, but it can also feel annoying if you're used to a smoother interaction. Maybe consider it as an opportunity to reflect on your conversation skills too!
