Why is ChatGPT Quoting Random Stuff Instead of My Document?

I've been using ChatGPT to help with editing my novel, and it's been pretty good at reading my text and giving feedback. But now, whenever I submit my document for review, it starts quoting things that don't come from my work. I'm not sure why this is happening. Has anyone else experienced this?

It sounds like ChatGPT is having trouble reading your documents now. I experienced something similar; it used to read my files just fine but started hallucinating answers recently. Maybe there’s a glitch?

Have you looked into context, window size, and tokens? Sometimes if a document gets too large, it creates problems. Breaking your work into smaller pieces might help keep the output relevant.

Yeah, I've noticed this issue as well! I usually extract chats and then summarize them, but the last update messed with my 10k-word documents. Total hallucination city! It used to handle those lengths easily though.

Right? It makes sense to work in modules. I wish they had a way to track how much memory is being used in the chat.
