Why is CrowdStrike so much more expensive than Huntress?

I'm trying to figure out why there's such a big price gap between CrowdStrike and Huntress for their MDR services. I received a quote for about $60K from CrowdStrike but only $15K from Huntress. Since Huntress operates on top of Microsoft Defender, it seems like a better fit for us, but the pricing difference raises some concerns. Can anyone shed light on why CrowdStrike is priced so much higher?

CrowdStrike has a lot of modules and options that can drive up costs. Their Falcon Complete comes with an incident response team that jumps on threats instantly, which is a significant factor for that price. You might want to present your $15K quote from Huntress to CrowdStrike and see if they can clarify what additional features you're paying for with them.

Good point! I've noticed many pricing variations with CrowdStrike too. Depending on the offerings, they can customize packages that might lower costs.

Totally agree! Make sure you look carefully at what's included in the MDR service and how it compares.

Remember, you're paying Huntress for management layered on top of another product. CrowdStrike is providing a more comprehensive solution. It's definitely not a direct comparison!

Yeah, it's like comparing apples to a full-on salad bar! CrowdStrike has a broader feature set.

If you're looking for another option, check out SentinelOne. I found their quotes to be significantly less than CrowdStrike and the product seems great!

I've heard good things about SentinelOne too. Might be worth looking into!

It sounds like your comparison might not be fair. If you're factoring in the Microsoft EDR licensing with Huntress, then that could skew your comparison. Make sure to account for all costs to get a true apples-to-apples comparison!

Really good advice! It's important to ensure all elements of the pricing are considered.

We use Huntress and Covalence. Huntress lacks some features, and I’ve noticed instances where active threats weren't detected. It's tough to comment on CrowdStrike, but they seem to be a more robust option overall.
