Hey everyone, I'm having a major issue with my Intel 14700k processor. It's constantly showing 100% utilization even when I barely run anything—mostly just some games and Wallpaper Engine. It shows 199% in Task Manager from boot to idle to gaming. I've tried reinstalling Windows in case it was a virus, but no luck. I switched from a 12600k to this 14700k I bought off Newegg. Could this be a faulty chip, or is there something else going on? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Sounds like you might have run some type of optimization software that messed with your CPU settings. These programs often disable core parking, which can keep your CPU at 100%. You should check your settings to see if core parking is turned off. That's a common culprit!
I haven’t used any optimization software, just updated the BIOS and installed the chip.
How do I check if core parking is disabled?
