Hey everyone! I just upgraded from a Ryzen 5 5600X to a 5700X3D and ran Cinebench tests. To my surprise, the single-core score on the 5700X3D is about 100 points lower than on the 5600X. I've updated the BIOS to the latest version and reinstalled the AMD chipset drivers. I've also enabled rebat and XMP and set the precision boost to auto. Is reinstalling Windows my only option to fix this? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

How are your CPU temperatures when running the benchmark? Also, what cooler are you using? If your CPU is overheating, it could throttle performance. Make sure XMP is enabled in the BIOS for your RAM. Ultimately, a 100-point difference isn't huge, and real-world performance will tell the tale. If your gaming performance is solid, you might not need to fix anything!
It's actually not unusual to see these kinds of results. The 5700X3D has a single-core boost clock of 4.1GHz compared to the 4.6GHz boost on the 5600X. Since Cinebench might not effectively use all the extra cache the 5700X3D has, that could be why your score is lower. It might just be more beneficial in applications that utilize that cache better. Don't sweat it too much!
Thanks for the insight! Do you recommend any other benchmarks that might give a better picture of performance?
My CPU temps are good; they stay below 60 degrees, so I think I'm okay on that front.
