I've got an older Acer Aspire 715 71G that's supposed to have a 1TB hard drive, but when I check the storage, it only shows 118GB available, and most of that is taken up by system apps. Everything else is running fine, but I'm running out of space, which prevents me from downloading anything. Could it be that there's a second disk that's failed? I've never encountered this issue before. How can I reclaim the full storage capacity?

If you're on Windows, open up the search bar and type 'partition,' then look for something called 'Disk Management.' This will show if the drive is detected. If it is, it might just need to be mounted or allocated properly. If it's not showing up at all, you may need to open your laptop to check if the HDD actually exists.
I checked the partition and just found Drive C, but I'm pretty sure I have a 1TB disk mounted.
