I just got a new iPad and created an Apple account without any trouble. However, I can't unlock the account because it's not sending me the verification emails. Additionally, it claims there's an issue with my birth date, even though I've set it correctly multiple times. Now it's saying that too many verification codes have been sent (but I never received any). What can I do to resolve this so I can actually use my iPad?

It's strange that your account got locked right after you created it! Make sure to check your junk or spam folder for those verification emails. Also, double-check that you're entering the correct birth date format; sometimes the month and day can get reversed. If you've asked for too many codes, you might need to wait for about 8 hours before trying again.
Honestly, Apple can be really frustrating with these account issues. If you keep running into walls, it might be worth considering returning the device and exploring other brands. There are a lot of people who feel the same way about Apple's support when it comes to account management.
