I'm noticing a difference between the space usage on my C: drive. When I check the properties, it says 235 GB is used and only 225 MB is free. However, when I look at the files and folders on the C: drive, it only shows around 68 GB being used. Could there be hidden files causing this issue? What tools or methods can I use to investigate and resolve this?

Only about 30 GB of the discrepancy might be overhead. Keep in mind that files can take up more space than their actual size due to how storage organizes data. For example, with a 4 KB allocation unit, even a small text file will use 4 KB of space.
You might want to check out tools like Wiztree or WinDirStat. They’re really helpful for spotting hidden or system files that might be taking up extra space on your drive.
It could be temporary files, cache, or downloads that are eating up space. Try clearing those out!
