Why is my Caps Lock acting weird on my keyboard?

I've been using this wireless keyboard (it's connected by cable) for about a month now and it was working perfectly until today. I suddenly noticed that the Caps Lock is acting strangely for just one letter: the 'D'. When Caps Lock is on, I get a lowercase 'd', but everything else is uppercase. When Caps Lock is off, 'D' is uppercase and all other letters are lowercase. Holding the Shift key doesn't affect it either. However, if I hold down the function key (Fn), I can type 'd' correctly. To give you an idea, here's a sentence I'll type: it looks like this, or KEYBOARD would look like THIS.

Another strange thing I've observed is that if I hold Down Fn + c, I can't write 'c'. Holding 'D' down capitalizes every other letter instead. I haven't spilled anything on it and it's still clean, so I'm puzzled about what's going on.

It sounds like your keyboard might be experiencing a malfunction with the keystrokes. It could be a hardware issue where certain keys are shorting or miscommunicating. You should check if this issue happens with another keyboard too—this will help you pinpoint if it's a keyboard problem or something with your system. If it’s the keyboard, you could consider checking for any visible damage or corrosion. If you can't find any, and it’s still under warranty, maybe return it or get it replaced. Unfortunately, if there’s internal damage, it might be too costly to fix. Good luck!

That's a solid plan! Testing with another keyboard is a smart first step to rule out software issues. Hopefully, it’s a simple fix—or just a warranty return!
