Why is my computer freezing after updating to Windows 11?

I recently updated my PC to Windows 11, and while it was working fine initially, I've started experiencing issues. The computer freezes for about 10 to 30 seconds at a time while I'm playing games, streaming on YouTube, or scrolling through Twitter. The screens might freeze or the pages won't load, even though they're still open. I've already restarted my computer, run a malware scan that found nothing, checked the task manager (showing no excessive usage), and disabled all browser extensions, but the problem persists. Anyone have any ideas?

Since you've already done some troubleshooting, it might be worth checking for any firmware updates for your drives or even the BIOS. Sometimes PC updates can cause compatibility issues that affect performance. Keep an eye on your system logs for any errors too; that might give you a clue as to what's failing.

It sounds like a hardware issue. If you hear something turning off inside your tower while the freezes happen, it might be your hard drive failing. Clicking noises typically indicate that the HDD is on its last legs. You should back up your data ASAP and consider replacing it if that’s the case. Remember, don’t risk your important files!

Yeah, I've had similar issues before. When drives start making odd noises, it's usually a red flag. Definitely look into getting that drive checked out or replaced.
